What parts of the wedding day are covered?
The whole 9 yards! From start to finish, we've got you covered! Coverage does vary based on the number of hours booked, but most clients do not need more than 8-10 hours to cover getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception. If your day has a lot of travel or special circumstances, let us know, & we can talk through your unique situation and coverage needs.
What if we book you for both photo and film? Who will shoot what?
Rachel is our lead photographer and has an amazing team of videographers. When you book us for both, we team up with another photographer and videographer to make sure no part of your special day is missed!
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Do we want to travel the world and photograph amazing couples like you? Um... that would be a YES!!!! We have traveled all over the U.S. & even in other countries for photography work. Our favorite location is one that is special to you, so we won't limit you on WHERE we photograph your special day.
Will there be an assistant or second shooter?
ALWAYS.
Can I extend the hours on the day of?
You can- however to get the most bang for your buck you'll want to book your hours within a package. This ensures we are prepared for the day & have your timeline perfected. If things run behind - we typically allow an extra couple hours after your service ends (just in case) and can stay late for you if needed.
What kind of gear do you use?
We use a variety of gear, but primarily Nikon cameras/lenses. We are proficient in all types of lighting scenarios (extremely dark reception vibe? - no worries!) and we can snap away regardless of how bright/dark it is. We also use long (zoom) lenses so we can capture the moment without being intrusive. Our goal is to get the best shot & give you peace of mind that we have the photos & video taken care of!
Do I have to order prints through you?
Nope! Every wedding client will get a downloadable gallery of their wedding photos. EVERY. SINGLE. IMAGE!
We suggest using www.mpix.com for the best consumer quality prints and recommend anything larger than an 8x10 be printed in our professional lab.
You can also order a canvas or framed prints for your walls, too! These are color corrected and perfected in the pro lab and UV protected to guarantee a lifetime of beauty.
How much is an engagement session? When should we plan it?
We include an engagement session in our ultimate packages at no additional cost, however, if you want to add an engagement session onto your package - it is $250!
As far as planning your engagement session - Everyone has different timelines and needs, but as long as you have the photos done 6 weeks before the wedding -- you're set in our books! Most clients do their engagement session 6 months to a year before their wedding, but not everyone has that long of an engagement. So, when you choose to schedule your engagement session is really based on your individual needs and preferences.
A little about the team:
Must Love Adventures • Photo & Film opened their doors back in 2010. Since then they have developed an incredible team and shot more than 100 weddings.
The traveling wedding photography team specializes in creating storytelling photos and videos. They are based in the midwest near St. Louis, MO and frequently serve the Tampa Bay and Orlando, FL areas. Rachel King is the owner and lead photographer. Her hometown is in the small town of Salem, IL in the Southern part of Illinois. She has a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from SIU Carbondale and keeps the creativity flowing with continual classes, workshops, and conferences. She has two daughters that fill up all of her "spare" time and a corgi named Mika.
Her spunky personality & over 12 years of experience helps create a low stress wedding day and gives clients peace of mind that their photos will be phenomenal.

If you've followed us for a while, you've probably already noticed that "Rachel" is usually the voice behind our blog posts, Instagram, and Facebook. She's also the one who you'll be talking to throughout the booking process and your lifeline when things don't go as planned.
